Wednesday 29 June – Sunday 3 July 2016
Belgium, Luxembourg & Germany

The welcoming Ardennes, the beautiful German Eifel and the wonderful Luxembourg. All three equally beautiful, exciting and challenging. Just like your Donkervoort. An ideal opportunity to combine the two for an unforgettable Donkervoort 3 Countries Tour!

Enjoy the hairpin corners, awe-inspiring vistas, beautiful surroundings and excellent hotels on beautiful locations. Add the Donkervoort dynamics, acceleration and the “Donkervoort family” atmosphere to the mix and you end up with the perfect recipe for unparalleled driving pleasure on winding roads in the Ardennes and the Eifel!

Day 1 | Wednesday | Arrival in the Ardennes

We begin the tour in the middle of the woods, in the beautiful Ardennes, near the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Our charming and very hospitable hotel for the next two nights – Hotel Le Val d’Ambleve – is situated in a beautiful park surrounded by old trees. Enjoy this first joint evening in accordance with the typical Belgian warm ambiance and its fine cuisine.

Day 2 | Thursday | Luxembourg Ösling

In the morning it’s time to get behind the wheel, fasten your seat belts and start the engine of your Donkervoort. During the first driving day of the Tour we’ll drive to the Grand Duchy of winding roads: Luxemburg. Where the roads sway seductively through quiet valleys, past winding rivers and over challenging hills.

After leaving the hotel we drive through Bastogne and Kautenbach to Clervaux, an ancient town with an impressive castle from the 12th century, of which there are many in Luxembourg. Via Vianden, once a temporary residence of our ‘own’ William of Orange, past castles and traditional villages, to finally return to Val d’Ambleve. Tonight, it is up to to dine where you wish; the area offers plenty of opportunities to do so.

Day 3 | Friday | Across the German Eifel

During the second day route we drive calmly towards the German border, direction Monschau, to continue in the direction of Bitburg. Here the Eifel manifests itself at its best. The nicely paved roads are alternately very twisty in the woods to occasionally stretch out into a nice “flow” over the tops of the hills where you will be served exquisite vistas. Along Gerolstein and the picturesque Kyllburg right through the Vulkaneifel. Back in the direction of Hohe Acht, with a possible stop at the Nürburgring for the fans, to drive through Bad Breisig to our final destination for the day.

We spend the next two nights at the Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersburg – known to the participants of the Tour of Germany last year as a lunch stop – with a magnificent view of the Seven Hills and the River Rhine. You can look forward to an excellent meal (of your own choice this evening) and a wellness center with an indoor pool.

Day 4 | Saturday | Route around the 'Ring'

A route that Dutch car magazine Autovisie tested out already when testing the prototype of the D8 GTO in 2013.

First stop Monreal, one of the prettiest villages in the Eifel, with half-timbered houses between which a beautiful river meanders. Followed by a path through the Ahr valley, where wonderful red wines are made and there are plenty of opportunities for a well deserved ‘pit stop’.

Via Iversheim Blankenheim and you can continue the route back to the Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersburg. The real-kilometer fanatics can also choose to return via a southern detour via the Nürburgring and Adenau and meet up with the group for the farewell dinner of the Tour.

Day 5 | Sunday | Departure

Already the end of this edition of the Donkervoort 3-Countries Tour. In the morning, we tell each other “goodbye”, “au revoir” and “auf Wiedersehen”. On the way home we’ll hopefully look back on a tour that will not soon be forgotten.
