Donkervoort D8 270RS - 2006
The D8 270RS is the car that best embodies the “No Compromise, No Nonsense” philosophy of Donkervoort. This model was developed with the sole purpose of making it the fastest D8 model Donkervoort could make, whatever the implications that went with it.
One of those implications was that just 25 of them were ever made.
The Donkervoort D8 270RS sat at the pinnacle of the D8 Audi range, and was developed as an homage to the car that destroyed the production-car lap record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2006.
This silver rocket was specced very comprehensively. The car has all the track-honed chassis reinforcements as well as many exposed carbon-fibre body parts. It is also equipped with a traction control, which was a very rare option at the time.
This undoubtedly is the most fun-to-drive D8 money can buy. If you are planning on a dual-use (road and track) supercar, this is the ideal 270RS.
