Your role at Donkervoort
For the development of future car models, the electrical system layout of the car needs to be brought to the latest state of technology. To accomplish this, the engine ECU, the optional ABS, EPS, HVAC and affiliated systems need to be integrated and controlled by means of a PDM control unit. The wiring loom needs to be developed in a robust, reliable, lightweight and cost efficient way and integrated in the overall layout of the car.
what are you going to do
The intern will work within the electrical engineering function and will support the development of the wiring loom and the integration and testing of automotive subsystems.
the ideal candidate
The ideal intern is a pragmatic do-er, has a passion for and experience with electrical work, can analyse problems and come up with solutions. Relevant experience (including hobby) with vehicle electronics is a valid asset. The intern has good software skills (SolidWorks, Word, Excel) and can read and write English at a good level. The intern feels comfortable in a compact team, can take on responsibility, is eager to learn and is very motivated to turn this internship into a mutually successful experience.
what we offer you
The intern will come up with inventive solutions to problems. The intern takes care of the design, the realisation and implementation of a test loom on a prototype car. The intern will fix the design into production drawings and make the concept production-ready, in conjunction with suppliers.
