Production Purchasing Process // Internship

For over 40 years, Donkervoort has been producing a sports car based on a tubular steel frame, a lightweight body and a sporty tuned chassis that is suitable for use both on public roads and on the circuit as a so-called trackday car. The car is completely assembled by hand and all main components are manufactured in-house, from welding the chassis to making all carbon panels.

To be able to make a healthy operating margin on the production of cars now and in the future, cost control is of great importance to the company. A so-called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is currently being implemented for this, from which it is possible to make detailed analyses of cost prices and the efficiency of the purchasing process.

Job description
The internship assignment involves analysing and optimising this purchasing process. Topics include; classification of purchasing parts according to types (strategic, consumable etc.), make-or-buy decisions, supplier selection, price analysis etc. The trainee also actively helps with setting up the ERP system (parts lists, production orders).

What we ask from you
The intern is very closely involved in the implementation of his / her purchasing improvements. A pragmatic approach and practical skills are required, in addition to good analytical skills. Experience in working with car parts is an advantage. An independent work attitude is needed to be able to make a good contribution within the dynamic environment.
