Something to celebrate
The wildest Donkervoort ever made (to that point), the D10 celebrated Donkervoort’s 10th anniversary in the most extravagant style Joop could imagine.
It was a track day car before track days were a big thing, delivered with a helmet to give its drivers an open-wheeler experience.
The 240km/h sportscar was so innovative that BMW used parts of it in the development of the Z1 sportscar, and so fast that it set a new world acceleration record of 3.8 seconds to 100km/h.
It became a successful racing car as well, with Michael Düchting and Michael Mueller scoring dozens of victories with it.
