Donkervoort GTO-R

Making the track become home

Matching GT3 prepared race car lap times on Spa Francorchamps. Experiencing the wind and excessive power combined.

Lap after lap – safely – showing what you’ve got. Creating the ultimate fun. With the new Donkervoort D8 GTO-R all limits are off, and all racetracks will become home.

With the first Donkervoort D8 GTO-40 being delivered to their customers, for Donkervoort it is time to take another step. By transforming the fastest lightweight street legal car Donkervoort ever designed into a designated track monster. But more than ever, a Donkervoort with its unique driving characteristics, its designer looks and ability to facilitate enjoyment.

Open track day racer

The new Donkervoort D8 GTO-R will not be street legal. Making the car loud, fast and challenging. The ultimate machine for those who want to experience what ‘driving on the limit’ really means. Taking life to another level. Driving the car where it belongs. Finding out on their own or with other Donkervoort drivers through the Donkervoort driver programs. The Donkervoort D8 GTO-R is the key to it all.

In late 2016 Donkervoort announced the birth of the GTO-R by presenting it as a FIA certified closed race car to compete in several racing series. However, it quickly became clear that future Donkervoort GTO-R drivers were more interested in a full prepped track day tool instead of a FIA approved racing car.

With a Donkervoort D8 GTO-R, powerful enough to equal the legendary lap record of Donkervoort, at that time leaving all other sportscar brands gasping for air. Imagine yourself going down and up again through Eau Rouge on Spa Francorchamps. Or accelerating over the Hunserug at Zandvoort circuit. Every lap trying to do that little bit better. Just for fun. Donkervoort has always been the combination of pure driving, razor-sharp handling and an impressive power to weight ratio. But with the Donkervoort D8 GTO-R, this has all gone to another level. Waiting to be explored by those who dare.
