Donkervoort D8 GTO 2015
Some Donkervoorts are built around numbers. Others are built around a feeling.
This 2015 Donkervoort D8 GTO Performance belongs firmly in the second category. It is one of the later first-generation GTOs, finished in Rosso Competizione and showing just 6,400 km. But what makes this car truly special is not one single element. It is the complete picture: a late first-generation GTO, a carefully considered specification, very low mileage and a family story that gives the car genuine provenance.
Originally kept within the same family and passed from father to son, this GTO has never been just another car in a collection. It has been part of a personal Donkervoort story. Now, after covering only 6,400 km, it is ready for its next owner to continue that story.
The specification is where this car becomes especially interesting.
This is not simply a standard Performance, Touring or Premium configuration. It was ordered as a D8 GTO Performance, but the final specification shows a much more thoughtful approach. The philosophy was not to build the most extreme GTO possible, nor to soften it into a pure Touring car. Instead, it was configured as a balanced and highly personal first-generation GTO: Performance where it matters, Touring where it improves usability, and Custom details where they give the car its identity.
At its core sits the Performance engine configuration: the Audi 2.5-litre R5 TFSI with 380+ hp, combined with the Performance free-flow exhaust for sharper throttle response and a more expressive five-cylinder sound. This gives the car the technical foundation that enthusiasts look for in an early GTO Performance.
The chassis was specified with the same philosophy. Three-way adjustable ARC shock absorbers, including ride-height adjustment, give the car the adjustability and precision expected from a focused GTO. At the same time, adjustable traction control was selected to make the car more confidence-inspiring when road conditions are less than perfect. The ventilated 24 mm brake discs with six-piston calipers complete the package: serious hardware, chosen with real driving in mind.
The body specification also says a lot about the original vision for the car. The ultra-lightweight carbon body was finished in body colour rather than left as visible carbon. That choice gives the car a cleaner, more timeless presence, while still preserving the lightweight engineering underneath. Finished in Rosso Competizione, a custom metallic mica multi-layer paint, the result is a GTO with real emotion and presence without becoming visually excessive.
Black details, powder-coated wheels, xenon headlights and additional protective film underline the same idea: this was a car specified to be cherished, used carefully and kept right.
With just 6,400 km, it remains an exceptionally low-mileage example of a late first-generation GTO Performance. That matters. Many early GTOs were driven hard, upgraded over time or used exactly as Donkervoort intended. This car offers something different: the character of the first-generation GTO, preserved with remarkably little mileage and with a configuration that still feels carefully judged today.
The car comes with an official Certificate of Authenticity.

interior
The interior continues the same carefully balanced specification philosophy.
The visible-carbon interior, 24H Special Edition dashboard with digital display, aluminium air vents and aviation-style switches give the cabin the technical, driver-focused feel expected from a GTO Performance. The suede quick-release steering wheel and six-point race harnesses add the right motorsport influence without making the car feel like a one-dimensional track tool.
At the same time, the classic-look Touring seat upholstery gives the cabin warmth and a more timeless character. It is this combination that makes the interior so appealing: focused, technical and unmistakably Donkervoort, but not stripped of refinement.

Checked on 175 aspects
This GTO stands out because of the total picture.
As a 2015 car, it belongs to the later examples of the first-generation GTO. It combines the original character and design language of the early GTO with a specification that was clearly built around long-term enjoyment.
The Performance drivetrain and ARC suspension give it the sharpness enthusiasts expect, while the traction control, braking setup and Touring-inspired interior choices make it more usable and complete than a purely hardcore configuration. The Rosso Competizione finish gives the car a distinctive identity, while the ultra-low mileage of just 6,400 km makes it one of the fresher examples of its generation.
Add the family provenance, and this becomes more than a low-mileage GTO Performance. It is a late first-generation GTO with a story, a philosophy and a specification that still makes sense today.
