Donkervoort F22 Blue
Description
Some F22s are built around maximum visual impact. This one takes a different approach.
Finished in a deep metallic blue, combined with black wheels and exposed carbon, this F22 has a clean and purposeful specification. The colour brings out the shape of the car particularly well, without taking attention away from the details that make an F22 what it is.
With 2,700 kilometres driven, the car has been used, but only just enough to start its story.
And importantly, this F22 was specified to be driven.
Alongside its performance-focused character, it is equipped with air conditioning and the lift system. Two options that may sound simple on paper, but make a significant difference when actually using an F22 on the road.
The result is a very pure specification: dramatic when you want it to be, but practical enough to take further than the usual Sunday morning drive.
This F22 has already found its next owner.
Exterior
The deep blue paint gives the F22 a surprisingly elegant appearance.
In direct sunlight the metallic finish becomes much brighter, while in lower light the colour turns considerably deeper. The black wheels and exposed carbon provide the contrast, keeping the overall appearance technical rather than flashy.
With the Twin Targa roof installed, the F22 has the shape and protection of a closed sports car.
Remove the roof and open the doors, and the entire character changes.
That ability to switch between the two is one of the defining features of the F22, and visually it remains one of the most dramatic Donkervoorts we have produced.
Interior
Inside, the focus remains firmly on the driver.
The seating position is low, the cockpit is compact and everything you need sits close around you. It feels very different from a conventional sports car before the engine has even been started.
At the same time, this particular specification offers some welcome usability.
Air conditioning makes longer journeys considerably more comfortable, particularly with the roof fitted. The lift system takes care of steep ramps, speed bumps and other situations where the low ride height of the F22 would otherwise require some extra planning.
Small additions, perhaps, but exactly the ones you appreciate when you actually drive the car.

Checked on 175 aspects
With 2,700 kilometres driven, this F22 arrived back at the factory having seen relatively limited use.
What we particularly like about this specification is its balance.
The F22 is already an extremely focused car by nature, so options such as the lift system and air conditioning make a bigger difference than you might expect. They allow you to use the car more often and over longer distances, without changing the experience once you find the right road.
The deep blue exterior, black wheels and exposed carbon keep the specification clean, while the usability options make it a car that does not need to live permanently in the garage.
A straightforward, very usable F22 specification.
And one that has already found its next owner.
