Donkervoort D8 GTO JD70 2021
Sold new in the Netherlands and still with its first and only owner, this Donkervoort GTO-JD70 has spent its entire life within reach of the Lelystad floor that shaped it. That says something — because of the seventy cars ever built, few have stayed this close to home, and none quite like this one.
With just 6,500 km on the clock, it is as close to a new JD70 as you are likely to find. Always maintained at the factory, it is fully up to date and ready to slip straight into its next chapter — whether that is a quiet morning drive through the polders or something a great deal more ambitious.
Finished in Bentley Damson — a deep, aubergine-purple — the upper bodywork reads almost black at rest and releases a glowing violet depth the moment direct light touches it. The lower body, sills, splitter, diffuser and scissor doors are left raw in the signature Bare Naked Carbon weave, the hypercar-grade structure put on display rather than hidden beneath a coat of paint. It doesn't seek attention. It commands it.
This JD70 was configured for the most rewarding road experience possible — the raw character of the GTO, with just enough additional hardware to be driven with real confidence whenever the moment calls for it. Key features include:
Race ABS — Donkervoort's motorsport-derived anti-lock braking system, preserving pedal feel while adding a decisive safety margin when the surface changes
Power-assisted steering — light at low speeds, precise and direct when you lean on it

interior
Step inside and the experience deepens. With just 6,500 km on the clock, the cabin is effectively untouched — the Alcantara still carries the matte, velvet-like nap it left the workshop with, without any of the shine or softening that creeps in once a Donkervoort has been properly lived with. In short: it looks, and feels, as-new.
The main material throughout is a rich, deep grey Alcantara — an unusually refined choice on a JD70, where the darker, monochrome end of the palette tends to dominate. It wraps the fixed-back carbon bucket seats, the headrests, the upper dashboard and the centre tunnel, giving the cockpit a warmth and softness that plays beautifully against the hard, exposed carbon structure surrounding it. Monochromatic, yes — but far from austere.
Running down the centre of each seat is a slim purple stripe, mixed from the same Damson palette as the exterior. It is the only intentional colour break in the entire cabin, and one you only fully register once the scissor door rises and you drop into the seat itself. Specified from new rather than retrofitted, it is the kind of detail that makes this JD70 unmistakably its own.
The rest of the interior is pure, uncut Donkervoort craftsmanship. Exposed hypercar-grade carbon fibre covers the door cards, the full-width dashboard, the transmission tunnel and the seat shells themselves, its woven texture catching the light from every angle. No carpeted compromises. Everything you touch has earned its place.
And then there is the cockpit. The full-width carbon dashboard is given over entirely to analog instruments — boost pressure, oil pressure, water temperature and fuel — flanked by toggle switches for Sport mode, traction control, ignition and auxiliary lighting, with a dedicated brake-bias dial at the driver's right hand and a red-flipped safety guard at its centre. The Alcantara steering wheel is matched to the seats in the same deep grey. No touch panels. No digital interruptions. Only what the driver needs, exactly where it should be — and with 6,500 km behind it, still calibrated and dressed exactly as the factory intended.
