Internship Prototype Engineering
)
Your role at Donkervoort
For the development of a future model, a prototype is under development and pre-production series is being engineered and prepared. The prototypes and pre-production models need to be engineered, assembled and converted into fully production ready engineering solutions. Sub systems need to be engineered, developed, tested and produced.
what are you going to do
The intern will work within the Engineering group, assisting the lead engineers who are responsible for the design and engineering of the new model. The intern will physically help to assemble the (prototype) parts that he/she engineered. In this way, the intern will be exposed to a balanced mix between engineering theory and manufacturing practice.
the ideal candidate
The ideal intern is a pragmatic do-er, has a passion for and experience with hands-on mechanical work, can analyze problems and come up with solutions. A pragmatic approach and a practical skill set are essential to do this job properly. The intern has good software skills (SolidWorks, Word, Excel) and can read and write English at a good level. The intern feels comfortable in a compact team, can take on responsiblility, is eager to learn and is very motivated to turn this internship into a mutually succesful experience.
what we offer you
The internship will take place partly in the engineering office and in the R&D workshop where the building of the prototype and pre-production run takes place. Next to this, during the build the Bill of Materials need to be administered and turned into a comprehensive build sheet including work instructions. Elaborating solutions into mechanical constructions is performed on SolidWorks CAD-software. The intern remains closely involved in the final implementation process of the new solution.
