Coronavirus (COVID-19) update
Dear Donkervoort drivers, enthusiasts and all extended family members,
In these uncertain times we would like to keep you, as our much appreciated Donkervoort “family member”, informed about how we deal with the situation in the Netherlands and beyond.
Together we make the difference. Our primary focus is – naturally – on ensuring the health and wellbeing of both you and our team. We therefore continuously observe all precautions and we strictly follow the guidelines of the Dutch government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).
Our factory and showroom are therefore opened, and we maintain the service-level you have come to expect from us. You can also still use our pick-up and delivery service. Some Donkervoort Events & Experiences that would take place in the coming period have been postponed, we have been in touch with all those involved. We also advise you to keep an eye on our website for any changes and / or notifications.
In over 40 years of operations, Donkervoort faced many challenges, where we always emerged stronger and more innovative. We will also grasp this challenging time with both hands and, as always, stand tall and against the current.
My very best wishes to you and your loved ones, on behalf of the entire Donkervoort team.
With warmest regards,
Founded by Joop Donkervoort in 1978, Donkervoort Automobielen is based in Lelystad, in the Netherlands. Now managed by his son, Denis, Donkervoort has sold more than 1500 cars in some 40 years and maintains a staff of more than 50. It earned its sports car credibility in 1988 when the D10 smashed the world acceleration record. It then earned even more when the D8 270 RS broke the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record with a lap time of 7:14:89 in 2005. Its cars range from comfortable tourers to harder-edged track models. And besides sheer speed, the brand is also known for its exacting attention to detail.
